Masuma double-layer exhaust flex pipes are made from AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel, known for its excellent corrosion resistance and ability to withstand short-term heat exposure up to 800 °C. AISI 304 contains 9–10% nickel, making it ideal for high-temperature exhaust applications.
The end rings of the flex pipes are manufactured from AISI 409 ferritic stainless steel — a heat-resistant alloy specifically suited for exhaust environments due to its resistance to intergranular corrosion and stability in gas-rich combustion conditions. All components are weldable using standard methods.
