New Masuma product — Masuma Air Conditioner Compressors for Japanese, Korean, European and American cars.
The A/C compressor is the main element of the air conditioning system, it is responsible for the refrigerant gas (freon) circulation: it compresses it and pumps it through the system. Special requirements are imposed on the A/C compressor:
- energy efficiency,
- easy installation,
- low vibration,
- reliability.
Masuma A/C compressors meet all these requirements.
TYPES AND CHARACTERISTICS OF MASUMA A/C COMPRESSORS
The Masuma product range includes several A/C compressors types:
RECIPROCATING (PISTON) COMPRESSORS
Classic A/C compressors with multiple pistons inside, pumping refrigerant gas. Ensure maximum system performance. Reciprocating (piston) compressors have several designs:
- with a double-row swash plate, with a fixed displacement;
- with a single-row swash plate, with a variable displacement;
- with a single-row wobble-plate, with a variable displacement;
SCROLL COMPRESSORS
The mechanism of such A/C compressors consists of two spirals and is characterized by low noise level. Scroll compressors take less power from the engine, so they are often used in сompact cars and hybrids.
Also, A/C compressors differ in drive types:
COMPRESSORS WITH MAGNETIC CLUTCH
Traditional A/C compressors type with an electromagnet-opened drive. Such a compressor does not work when the air conditioner is turned off, which prolongs its lifetime and reduces the load on the engine.
CLUTCHLESS VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT COMPRESSORS
A modern type of A/C compressors with a simple pulley without an electromagnet. Such a compressor runs constantly, but its displacement is electronically regulated and is minimal at idle run (about 2%).
REFRIGERANT GAS AND OIL
Masuma A/C compressors are compatible with HFC134a (R-134a) freon gas, the most common refrigerant used in most automotive A/C systems.
All Masuma compressors are factory-filled with the required amount of oil. The type of oil depends on the compressor design and is specified in each product specs.
